North Fitzroy Counselling

I have always loved this area.

An eclectic mix of coffee shops, bars, upmarket op shops, an Italian grocer and a children’s bookstore, a tempting French patisserie, Melbourne’s first sourdough bakery and the only wood merchant in Fitzroy, our end of Nicholson Street is full of surprises.

The little park and the tram that goes all the way to cosmopolitan St Kilda, the Catholic church with the gold Madonna where No-Lights No-Lycra holds its twice weekly dance fests, the Sacred Heart Mission Op Shop where you can pick up designer bargains and cheap picture books.

Its a bustling and diverse place with something for everyone.

Welcome to My Counselling Rooms

How to find us

Handily located on the corner of Nicholson Street and Brunswick Road (Brunswick Road becomes Holden Street once it crosses over Nicholson Street)my North Fitzroy counselling rooms are easy to find. Head towards the city from Coburg and its on the left after Barkly Street. Coming from Carlton, the rooms are on the right hand side just as you cross Holden Street. The TT Mart is just across the road.

Public Transport

The rooms are well served by public transport. The 96 tram towards the city stops right outside the rooms (Stop 22). If coming from Bourke street or St Kilda towards East Brunswick, the 96 tram stops diagonally across the road on the corner of Brunswick Road and Nicholson Street. The rooms are also just a short tram ride from Parliament station.

The 506 bus can also get you here from Westgarth Station or from Moonee Ponds. The nearest stop is in Miller Street.

Parking:

There is all day parking in Nicholson Street on the same side as the rooms. Otherwise there is plenty of parking around the corner in Barkly Street.

Coffee & Food

For coffee or lunch try Carolina Cafe (my favourite - love the Gravelax) at 11 Nicholson Street, just near Park Street. For freshly baked sourdough head back towards Carlton and Natural Tucker Bakery, Melbourne’s oldest traditional bakery at 809 Nicholson Street. For a fruit tart or vanilla slice try A Treat of France further down Nicholson Street in North Carlton. For Italian groceries, coffee beans, olives and pancetta try Maria’s Coffee House and Deli at 793 Nicholson Street.
